Born in Florida, my parents went on a ski trip to Aspen when I was in middle school and decided to move to Colorado. I had grand plans of leaving the state and going to college at Auburn University in Alabama but at the last minute decided to stay in Colorado and went to the University of Northern Colorado, pledged Sigma Kappa and met my future husband.
After two years in the odiferous Greeley, I transferred down to a college in Denver. I was able to get inernships and work with Altitude Sports and Entertainment, both on-camera and off. Additionally, I was anchoring my schools newscasts, all preparing me for my work as an on-field NCAA SEC reporter. Realizing what my life would look like if I made the decision to follow that career path, and I realized that wasn't for me. It proved to be a smart decision as I got engaged in 2008 to a wonderful, supportive person that I love more now than I ever thought I could.
After graduation, I worked for an oil and gas company but was promptly laid off a week after we bought our house, and 3 month before our wedding. I was able to find a job and we got married on September 19, 2009 in Denver. It was an amazing day and so full of fun and celebration!
Fast forward 3 years and I was working for Sports Authority in their corporate office as an Assistant Buyer in their footwear division. My husband and I wanted to start a family, which, for us, proved much easier said than done. We suffered two losses and tried for 18 months before finding out that we were pregnant, this time for good. Much of our success is owed to Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine (CCRM). It's amazing how blessed we are to have such a wonderful facility so close to us.
We welcomed sweet baby Charlotte on January 14, 2013. She was born on her due date, 7lbs 5oz and 18 inches long. She is the best thing that I have ever done, and we are all so in love with her! I quit my job and stay home with her and our precious little dog Rocky while my husband is a consultant.
In my spare time, I'm running an Etsy shop and doing freelance Retail, Marketing, and Social Media consulting.
